Welcome to our latest Build Wars challenge: Chunk Houses!
Minecraft worlds are made of an endless number of chunks. These chunks measure an area of 16×16 blocks. Our latest challenge asks you to come up with a type of building within the 16×16 block limitation. There are no height requirements. A “building” is qualified as a living/working space with walls, roof, and floor. Neither pixel art creations nor statues qualify for this particular competition.
The building above was built within the 16×16 guidelines, but the landscaping surrounding it was not.

Like previous challenges, the map will be in creative mode and contestants will be given one hour to complete their builds inside and out. Interiors and exteriors must be decorated. We are looking for creativity!

Game Night:
When: Friday, August 1, 2014
Time: 9:00 p.m. EDT/8:00 p.m. CDT

All contestants must be whitelisted on our Main server. Click here to be whitelisted.
Note: The snapshot map will be taken down during this event, as it will be held on the our alternate server.
Rules:
1. Only one person per 16×16 plot.
2. You have one hour to complete your build.
3. Your entire concept must be within the 16×16 boundaries. Anything outside will be disqualified in judging.
4. Interiors must also be decorated.
5. All ages are welcome.
6. NO GRIEFING! Stay off other players’ build sites until the end of the build hour. At that time you may visit other players’ builds, but do not place or remove any blocks. Anyone caught doing so will be disqualified.
Prizes!!
Judging will be divided into two categories, ages 16 and under and ages 17 and older.
Prizes for age 16 and Under:
1st Place – A “special” horse. Choose between a zombie or skeleton horse. Also receive a free visit to the Toad Hut for a special ability for one month.
2nd Place – Diamond pick with Fortune 3 and Unbreaking 3 enchantments and free visit to the Toad Hut for a special ability for one month.
3rd Place – Free visit to the Toad Hut for special ability for one month.
Note: If you already have a Toad Hut ability, you may save it for after or use it alongside the one you have now.
Prizes for age group 17 and older:
1st Place – A “special” horse. Choose between zombie or skeleton horse. Also receive a diamond power pick and shovel (these power tools are special in that they can break nine blocks at a time instead of only one. They are also enchantable and repairable. They can not be crafted.
2nd Place – Diamond power pick.
3rd Place – Diamond power shovel
Build Wars is one of our favorite game nights as it inspires so much creativity and friendly competition. We’re looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.
