Memorial Day 2016

This Monday is Memorial Day so we wanted to pay special tribute to our of the veterans who play with us on the server, and to also thank all of the brave men and women who have given their lives for our country. Thank you.

We’d like to take a moment to wish all the Mom’s out there a Happy Mother’s Day. As usual we have decorated the holiday areas on both servers to celebrate you! The holiday area will be open all weekend long so stop by and getting your in-game gifts, and don’t forget to grab a copy of your holiday Collectors Map on NuNu specially designed by our Pink Team this year!

May the Fourth 2016: Ship Crashed!

May the Force be with you!

Please join in the festivities and build with us on Some Awesome Minecraft! We celebrate this worldwide day of 2016-04-15_18.21.21the ever-loved Star Wars story that brings us together.

On the Main server, we will be opening up a Crash Site. You can build your favorite Star Wars ship!

To join in the building, head to Rebel Base Command which you can get to from the basement of the new CT. Head to the right and take the CB to Shipcrash.
You will port inside the Death Star, go outside and please mark the area you need to build your ship as you imagine it has crashed into the desert.

Materials will not be supplied. If you have leftovers or would like to supply materials for the builds, there is a storage floor in the top of the Death Star. You can access this room by the elevator.

Whatever ships you decided on, whether you build alone or with a partner, please stay within the Star Wars theme. (Please no pixel art at the crash site.)2016-04-15_18.20.06

 

We also have some other Star Wars themed builds like Mos Eisley and the Rebel Command Base where all the Star Wars builds on the server are linked. There are Some Awesome builds there that you must see!

Easter “Egg” Hunt 2016

Here at Some Awesome Minecraft, we like to do things a little different for our Easter celebrations. While we still decorate for the holiday with cute bunnies, chicks, and pastel colors, our Easter “Egg” Hunt is rather special.

Join us Saturday, March 26th @ 2:30pm EDT on the Main Server for our annual “Easter Egg” Head hunt!
(Time zone conversions: 11:30am PDT / 12:30pm MDT / 1:30pm CDT / 2:30pm EDT / 6:30pm UK) 

The Colosseum is currently closed, but will re-open at the time of the Event.

The admins will be hiding a variety of player & decorative heads around the Colosseum for you to hunt down & collect.
Keep an eye out for these 3 *special* heads:

Whoever finds either the ToRiMiLi, Serverus, or the SomeAwesome head will get a special prize book that they can turn in for 35 XP Levels!   (Each *of these 3* heads will earn a prize separately, you do not need the full set.) There is only 1 of each of these heads hidden, so show an admin when you find it to receive your prize book! (Only 1 prize will be awarded per head – whoever finds it first gets the prize.)

Both Holiday Areas have a Pot’o’Gold where you can grab 1 “Lucky Coin” to rename with your IGN & toss into the Wishing Well. On Friday, March 18th, we will draw a random winner from those coins on both servers! The winner on each server will get to choose 1 item from the Creative Mode inventory.
On Main, that *does* include some very special new items!
(Only 1 entry per player, extra entries will be removed.
Only one prize per winner, the same player cannot win on both servers.)
