The Stockings Were Hung…

It’s time to hang our Christmas Stockings again! Head over to the Secret Santa booth in the Holiday area and collect your stockings from the chests provided.

Rename your stocking with your IGN using the anvils, and hang them on the candy cane pillars surrounding the Christmas Tree. Item frames have been provided for hanging your stockings, but please do not remove them.

After Christmas morning you will be able to turn in your stocking for ONE Christmas wish. It can be any one item or enchant that you wish.

Secret Santa 2014!

It’s Christmas time once again and we’re bringing back Secret Santas! The Secret Santa area is in the giant Christmas Tree outside the Command Tower. (Yes you can finally go in there!)

 

If you weren’t here for last Christmas, here’s how we do it:
1. Grab a book, write your name in it & “Sign” it. (books provided)
2. Drop the book into the chest in the Christmas tree trunk.
We’ll keep the drop open for 1 week for everyone who wants to participate to get their names in.
3. Next week you’ll be able to get a random name back!
4. When you get the name, you get to come up with some goodies or fun build to gift to the person whose name you have!

***SECRET SANTA UPDATE***
December 5th

Attention! If you added your name (or had someone else put your name) into the mix for Secret Santa this year, you may now go to the Christmas Tree to collect the name of your Secret Santa.

PLEASE NOTE:
* You may only take ONE book.
* If you added your name to a book (or had someone else do it for you) you MUST take a book.
*If you are giving items (in a box) to your Secret Santa, let one of the Admins know and they can set you up with a locked box (and a key) under the Christmas Tree.
* You have until December 25th to build/give your gifts. They may ONLY be opened (presented) on/after Christmas.
* BE SURE TO READ INSIDE of the book you get. Some people signed books for others so the signed name, may not be the name of your Secret Santa.
* If you put someone else’s name into a book, it is your responsibility to make sure that person knows they need to log on and collect a name from the tree. If they do not, you will need to take an extra book.
* Please check the IGN doc to make sure your IGN is listed so everyone knows who their Secret Santa is. (Added by request of Mrs. Hope)

Thanksgiving 2014

It’s another Thanksgiving and we’re so thankful to be sharing it with you guys! Visit the new Thanksgiving Corner dedicated to this wonderful holiday and celebrate our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Feast with us! It is located at spawn near the community garden. Visit our “Thankful” wall where you can leave a sign of something you’re thankful for. Enjoy the small garden, a ‘banquet’ area, & food donation boxes to feed the starving. ‪#‎endstarvingtodeathnotices‬

Thanksgiving Dinner will be available starting next Wednesday, with some special food items.

Come Celebrate the Fourth of July!

For us in the U.S., our national holiday is almost upon us and we are looking forward to celebrating it together!  Starting July 3rd (sometime around my first cup of coffee), we will open up the Fourth of July Park.  At the park, you will be able to get your free sparklers and Flag map.

Fancier fireworks will be for sale for one pumpkin. There are many to choose from!

And of course the Fireworks Roller Coaster for all to enjoy!

We will also be hosting several nights for fireworks to celebrate. Join us for one or for all! We would love to see you at Fourth of July park.

Mother’s Day!

May is obviously a big month here for us, and this weekend, we’re going to give our wonderful admins the greatest gift in the world…

A BREAK

That’s right, for this weekend only, Friday through Sunday. The admins will be OFF DUTY. That means:

  • No CB requests
  • No help with complex builds
  • No CTRL-Z shop
  • No lottery
  • No fishing contest
  • No birthday deliveries (we’ll get to you after the weekend)
  • No tagging them in the group
  • No enchanted book sales
  • No Toad Hut (and if your power runs out this weekend, you get to keep it until Monday)
  • No CB requests

It doesn’t mean that they won’t be on, and it CERTAINLY doesn’t mean that there will be no one keeping an eye on things (hint: it’s me) but if you do see them on, please treat them like any other normal player unless it is a grave emergency.

This will be an excellent way to learn the real level of appreciation you have for how hard the ladies work on this server to provide you with the best experience possible, while providing them the opportunity to just be one of the regular folks and take it easy (if they decide to get on at all). I’m sure that once the weekend is over, you’ll be quite happy to have them back on the clock 😉
