It’s the most wonderful time of the year on the server, ChristmaHanukKwanzzicule time! Come celebrate with us!

We have a lot going on in the holiday area as some of you may have seen. It is now open for you to explore and enjoy.

Christmas: Dec 25

Visit Santa’s workshop for goodies, numerous Christmas banners, and our holiday collectors map. Don’t forget to go see villager “ToRiMiLi” to hang your stocking around the fireplace. Turn them in to an admin between December 26th and January 7th to trade for a gift item from either the creative menu, power tools, or an animal of your choice including polar bears and llamas!

Note: Stockings must be named and only one per person. You may not turn them in for someone else unless you are the parent.

Hanukkah: Dec 24 – Jan 1

Happy Hanukkah! Celebrate the eight days of Hanukkah with us as we start lighting the menorah at 9pm on Saturday, December 24th through Sunday, January 1st.

Be sure to visit the nearby holiday villagers for your holiday goodies, Hanukkah collectors map, and banner.

Note: Day 4: Gifts good for 50xp. Turn in to an admin to redeem. Only one per person.

Yule: Dec 21 – Jan 1

Let us celebrate with you as we greet the sun after the longest night of the year. Come visit our Yule display to collect your holiday goodies, map, and banners.

Kwanzaa: Dec 26 – Jan 1

“Repairing, Renewing and Remaking Our World”

Happy Kwanzaa! We will be lighting the candles on the kinara at 9pm on Dec 26th immediately following the candle lighting on the menorah. Visit holiday villagers for the Kwanzaa collectors map and holiday banners, plus traditional holiday goodies Minecraft style including Zawadi which means “Gifts” You may trade this book in to an admin for one gift item from the creative menu, power tools, or animals including polar bears and llamas.

Note: Only one per person. Rename and turn in to an admin to collect your gift.

I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who has helped with our holiday display. Thank you to the admins who continue to do amazing work and continue to inspire me.

A special thank you to _Ayana_ and the Crazy Map Ladies who have done beautiful work on all the holiday maps this year. I really overworked them, especially with these last 4 maps for the season. They have blown me away with their creativity and perseverance. Thank you all!

And to our players. It has been a crazy year for us all, but we’re still here! Thank you for your patience and understanding when life gets busy for us admins, and for your continued support of our great servers! We wouldn’t be here if not for you. We wish you the happiest holidays!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us to all of you!

After you’ve enjoyed your feast with your family, come celebrate it with your minecraft family! Enjoy your “turkey” dinner and post a sign telling us what you’re thankful for.

Halloween 2016!

Who can believe it’s almost Halloween again?! Time to put on those scary skins and celebrate Minecraft style!

Beginning Wednesday, October 27th stop by the Holiday Area to get your holiday souvenirs and monster costumes. Remember to bring sticks and emeralds! Don’t forget to grab your holiday map and banners while you’re there.

That evening we’ll go inside the giant pumpkin and head over to the Halloween Maze for some holiday fun. Get some holiday treats while Trick-or-Treating in our new holiday village, but beware some neighbors aren’t so friendly, and then try your best to solve our spooky maze! All event participants will receive a Zombie Horse prize and place their names on the Wall of Fame.

If you can’t make the Wednesday event, join GardenSavvy for our special UK hours. Check the Facebook event for more details.

Zombie horses are only available during the events. And yes, if you go to both events you can have receive two horses!

The holiday area, maze, and trick-or-treating will remain open until Sunday,November 6th when we will need to shut down to prepare for Thanksgiving.

SAMC Banking

Welcome to Featured Builds, a new segment where we will feature a different build on one or both servers. This edition will feature the SAMC Banks and their amenities.

You may have seen our extravagant bank on Main, but if you haven’t visited it recently you’re in for a surprise! It’s had a bit of a remodel and a few new added features.

Do you have too many iron ingots but what you really need are diamonds? Visit the Bank Teller ToRiMiLi who will be happy to assist you with ore exchanges. Dancingn27 will be delighted to assist you with your emerald needs, and Akumo will gladly trade you for some rare blocks including sponges!

Serverus has some unique trades for you requiring special tokens that you can only acquire from our XP shops. Through him you can buy rare items such as the Elytra, the Dragon Head, Dragon’s breath, and a new one…Dragon Eggs!

Rare Tokens: 25 XP levels
Treasure Tokens: 50 XP Levels

Note: You will also need Purpur blocks for trades with Serverus

You will also notice that the vault has been reopened. Inside you will find the new XP shop where you my purchase the tokens needed for Serverus. No more unnecessary travel to three different locations in order to complete your transaction. Enchanted books will still be available at the original XP Shop, but Rare Item and Treasure Tokens can now be bought inside the bank as well. You’re welcome!

Now those are all features we’ve already seen in the bank on Main, but what we haven’t had here until now are our Armor and Tools exchanges. We had such a positive reaction from this feature on NuNu so we’ve brought it over to the bank on Main as well. Visit one of our four new bank staff members, Elyntia, WickedCake, _Ayana_, and JP_Zilla who will be happy to trade in all those mob armor drops and old tools that have been building up that you have no idea what to do with. If you can hold out for /repair you get even more value for your trade-ins as all trades must be at 100% durability.

The bank on NuNu features the armor and tool trades only since ores aren’t nearly as rare over there. It is located in the Market down the East road. Just go through the village and over the bridge to find it. Rare and Treasure Tokens may also be purchased in the bank there on the lower level. Just take the stairs located next to Serverus. You will also find that he has added Dragon Eggs to his list of purchasable items on NuNu as well.

Rare Tokens: 25 XP levels

Happy Independence Day!

You know we love holidays on the server, but honestly, summer is kicking our butts! Between admins moving, kids being home from school, and various summer activities, we are exhausted. So let’s celebrate the last holiday of the summer with a BANG! Literally! If your town is seriously lacking in a decent fireworks display (like mine is) come watch the firework show with us!

(Note: I know there’s Labor Day but we’ve never done anything on the server for it)

The holiday areas are all decorated for the 4th of July complete with villagers giving away sparklers (don’t forget your sticks to trade).

There are lots of other goodies for you too, check out the custom holiday banners made by IrishPippin

and stop by the food truck for some real American BBQ! (Minecraft style of course)

Firework displays will be held at various days and times over the weekend with official ones on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, at 8:00pm EDT on NuNu and 8:15pm EDT on Main. If you’ve never seen our Main Fourth of July event area you MUST come see it! There are lots of fireworks and goodies to give away, a beautiful and interactive rollercoaster, and fireworks display. You’ll definitely want to pop over for that.

And of course you’ll want to grab your Holiday Collector’s Map made special by _Ayana_ of the Crazy Map Ladies. She has done an outstanding job. Her skills amaze us all!

It’s CANADA DAY!

Happy birthday Canada! We didn’t want to leave you guys out of the holiday weekend so “Elyntia” will be giving away special “Canada Day” sparklers and Canadian flags.

Happy holidays everyone. We hope you have lots of fun, friends, family, and fireworks this weekend. Remember kids, SAFETY FIRST! Fireworks can be dangerous, and It’s hard to use those WASD keys with no fingers!
